October 1-15, 2016
Since October is such a photogenic month and so many photos are being taken I am splitting the month into two pages. Here is the first half of October!
The colors around the house, backyard pond and the forest around the house are incredible. I've been getting lots of photos during the day and even did some at night too to see if I could get some photos showing the stars and fall colors.
It has been great to get out on the water on calm days to do some fishing and see the fall colors.
I got the last few photos of the garden before a hard frost finished it off.
While out for a drive we passed a property in the woods with interesting sculptures made out of parts of old cars.
Our forest around the house is full of colorful trees and all sorts of interesting mushrooms at this time of year.
One afternoon mum walked down to the end of the driveway and was met by a huge flock of turkeys. This is probably the same family we have watched grow up all summer. Usually turkeys don't want to be anywhere near people but I witnessed this most unusual encounter as the turkeys seemed friendly and completely unconcerned about mum walking among them!
Second half of October coming soon!...
